A great day caving at Gua Tempurung (Tempurung Cave), a large limestone cave system not far from Ipoh. Gua is Malay for Cave.

Before and After Shot – Well and truly Wet After Caving
Gua Tempurung stretches 1.9km and is one of the largest limestone caves on the Malaysian Peninsular. My photos were taken with night mode on our Pentax Rugable – no tripod and so can be a little shaky.
We do Tour 3 which was a journey of about 2.4km from the entrance to Golden Flowstone, Top of the World and then return through the underground river. My photos were taken with night mode on our Pentax Ruggable – no tripod and so can be a little shaky.
You had no choice but to get very wet in the river section – sometimes having to lie almost flat to get through.
The steps were steep and in the river the rather jagged cave roof got very low – of course being Malaysia meant most of the locals were doing it all in thongs (flip flops) and we had no helmets. All part of the Malay way!!!
