Chilling Waterfall – Malaysia

Chilling Waterfall is a great day trip to escape Kuala Lumpur and one we totally enjoyed last Saturday.

It took some coaxing to get the girls to go and after many – Oh Dad’s – we finally got away around 10am and arrived at Chilling Waterfall a bit after 11am. The falls are only open from Friday until Sunday so even in the fasting month they were busy.

The hour walk had all the beauty and rawness of Malaysia with some jungle and 6 river crossings – 1 via bridge the others you get wet!!!  However it is a relatively flat walk so not that challenging.

The water at Chilling Waterfall was chilling, or refreshing, so Emily and I stripped off and jumped in.

The walk was great. Lots of butterflies, dragon flies and ferns…

We wrapped up around 2:30pm and then headed to the local town – Kuala Kubu Baru – for lunch.  Molly and I had Chicken Chop at Sun Sun Nam Cheong. A popular Hainanese restaurant also frequented by Najib.

Emily wanted Chicken Rice which I got for her a few shops down – she regretted it that night with minor food poisoning – she said she filled a whole ice cream bucket with vomit that night.
