In the afternoon of Day 2 we did a Motor Bike Tour of Saigon with Back Of The Bike Tours. We did the Saigon Tour which saw us on the back of motor bikes operated by university students and recent graduates. It was a lot of fun and a great way to see Saigon. They were extremely friendly and each rider had their own stories to tell.
Our tour was originally meant to start at 3pm but due to rain it was delayed to 4:30pm. This worked out well as it was cooler, there was more activity in the back streets and the meal became our dinner.
Half way into the tour we stopped for a bite to eat and to try local Vietnamese Cuisine. Wow, it was great and even Emily ate it all plus with helpings of seconds on the noodles.
We also stopped for fruit which we would have as a picnic later on. This gave me a chance to try the Vietnamese Durian – not as creamy as Malaysian but still nice.
