Camera Museum – George Town, Penang

I am dedicating an entire post to The Camera Museum in George Town as it is a great little set-up that we all totally enjoyed. It is , located in a two-storey pre-war shop house at 49 Lebuh Muntri,10200 Penang.

They have a series of rooms including a large display of old cameras and also an old fashioned Dark Room. The Dark Room had all the gear and so Kerrie and I were able to show the kids how we used to do it before digital.

Another room is set up as large camera. The girls stood outside on a platform, a small cover was opened in the side of the wall and their image was channelled onto the opposite wall – hence it was upside down. Pretty cool!!!

There was a great display of historical cameras that covered all eras.

There is a good cafe in the Museum however we had brunch in the eclectic cafe next door – fresh juice, great coffee and pork bacon.
