Mt Buffalo National Park – Victoria

Mt Buffalo National Park is a truly beautiful part of Victoria. I had spent a lot of time there as a kid but never really taken the girls. So this Christmas we went up for a day and took in one of the walks – View Point Walk from Lake Catani to View Point, where you get great views of the Great Dividing Range.

The wild flowers were out for the walk and as it was a pleasant day, not too hot, we really enjoyed it.

The surprise taking the hour drive up the mountain was the number of cyclists doing the trek.  A long ride for them all in the Australian heat.

Afterwards we headed into Bright for a late lunch and to go swimming in the river – another old memory growing up in the country.
