Mud Bricks, Yogyakarta

A bit of a life lesson in Yogyakarta for Emily and us all as we drove pass this lovely couple who were making mud bricks just off the side of the road.

It reminds you that majority of people in this world are doing whatever it takes to carve out a small living and survive.  It also shows however, one of the things I love about Asia, and that is these small business doing things the traditional way and enjoying what they do. This was a lovely couple and seem truly happy in what they were doing.

It has been great to expose the kinds to this. I do not know if they appreciate more what they have. I don’t think it hits you that way.  It does give you an appreciation to enjoy what you do have and take it less for granted.
