Girls U15 2014 ISAKL Soccer

This weekend was the ISAKL (International Schools Association Kuala Lumpur) Soccer preliminary matches with U15 being held at the Alice Smith High School, Kuala Lumpur. The four matches GIS  played were all close and toughly fought out by the girls but in the end it was not their best season with a 1 – 3 win to loss result.

Kotoko was the star in goals. She has always been good in the air but this year was great with the low ball grabbing the ball of the feet of the opposition as they went to shoot. Saebom was Ms. Fitness as I do not think she came off once and she covered a lot of ground as mid-field – with her shirt tucked in and pants pulled up she is also the nerd of the group on the field.  Jordan was solid in back and got a great goal from mid-field with one of her penetrating kicks.

Emily had four solid games and is playing really well given this is her 3rd year. She was striker and her big step up this year was really getting off some good headers. Her strength was her strong and low kicks to goal from the edge of the box – she has really develop a solid kick while on the move – unfortunately it does not look that graceful on photo.

So no medals this year for GIS U15 Girls at ISAKL but it is looking good for FOBISSEA later this year as their matches were very close and they get two key players back before then.
