Everyone keeps telling me that we must be missing the food from Kuala Lumpur. The food and eating out in Kuala Lumpur is special with it’s various fusions but to be honest the food and eating out is special in most large cities nowadays. Although each city will always have its specialities, for example Beggars Chicken in Kuala Lumpur, great food often comes down to enjoying where you are, the company you are with and the experience that goes with it.
This was what it was like last Sunday night with Kerrie and Em and sitting in The Food Truck Park in Richmond, Melbourne.
This little gem is on Church Street, Richmond and is there for the remainder of May. It is a great place to rug up, take a break from cooking and enjoy a selection of sliders, pizza’s or Asian curries. This is Melbourne at its best, just chilly enough to throw on a coat and scarf and sit outside under the night sky and enjoy good food.
While Kerrie and Em went for the Wood Fired Pizza, I went for the Crispy Fish With 3 Flavor Sweet and Sour Sauce from whiteguycooksthai.com.au A great name for a Food Truck and a friendly bunch of people in the truck.
To show just how small the world has become, one of the girls on our table was Chinese Malay and so some good conversation occurred on Malaysian and Melbourne cuisine.
This was a perfect Sunday night with Kerrie and Em before heading to the airport for my 2:40am flight to Kuala Lumpur.
