Back to Princess Park – Carlton is Home

The Blues have not had a great pre-season with respect to wins this year but the young draftees have shown great promise and with this it was fantastic to see Jack Silvagni and Jacob Weitering make their debut on Ikon Park, aka Princess Park for us oldies.

The trip back to Princess Park was a nostalgic one as it has been well over a decade since we were last back there and for us it was fond memoires as both Moo and Em saw their first Carlton Games at Princess Park as toddlers.

We sat in the Pratt Stand not far from where our Reserve Seats used to be back in 2000 – only this time the kids were a bit big for me to throw in the air when Carlton scored.

We used to spend Saturday morning at Queen Victoria Markets and then catch the tram up to Princess Park for the game.  This time I parked near Molly at Trinity College and we walked up to Princess Park from there. Melbourne City is jut so easy to get around.
