Singapore – Ang Ku Kueh

Continuing on from my foodie walk in Singapore was then a further 1 1/2 hour walk from Loong Fatt to Poh Cheu – Blk 127 Bukit Merah Lane 1 #01-230 Singapore – for Ang Ku Kueh. These little glutinous rice cakes stuffed with various fillings including Durian, Red Bean, Green Bean, Peanut, Yam etc. were yummy.

Poh Cheu was a good walk out from the city area in the middle of of hawkers and apartments.  Another 30+ year family business that was highly popular with another long queue and also many people dropping in to pick up large pre-orders.

I ordered the Durian Filling and the Peanut Filling…both were special and I was very impressed with how thin the glutinous rice layer was and how much filling there was.

After my second feast and long walk I needed to rest and have a drink…and just around the corner I found a place that was serving Singapore’s RedDot Spirulina craft beer. A bit of a mind bended to sit back and drink this green brew.
